SOUCY, hugues

Born in 1955 in Saguenay, Quebec.
Training: Primarily self-taught;
vocational courses in casting and foundry of art.
Career: versatile sculptor, he works with both bronze, aluminum, semi-precious stones and fine wood. During more than twenty years of exhibitions, symposia and participation in various events of a public nature, it is mostly imposed by its integrations (arrangement of fine wood, stone and metal in the same sculptural form) and the creating multiple price of Quebec and Canadian excellence. In 2000, he was awarded an honorable mention in the exhibition of the National Society of Fine Arts of France at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.
